A visit from my Godfather

Raymond's Godfather, Joe, came over last night. He held Raymond for five minutes without crying (Raymond, not Joe). So far, Joe always seems to get him at the grumpy times, probably because it is usually when there are a lot of people around. That being said, Raymond did spit up all over him and grab onto his chest hairs- ouch!

A few cute shots

Allergy Boy

I think Raymond has some sort of allergy because his face keeps getting all red and splotchy and his eyes all watery!! Poor guy.

Indiana Visit

So- we made a short trip to Indiana to see my nephew and Godson, Cody, in a play. (short in the amount of time we were there, not the amount of time it took us to get there) He starred as Piggy in Lord of the Flies. Unfortunately, I couldn't find my camera before we left so I don't have any pictures of it. But he did a fantastic job! Way to go Cody! Their play was even featured in the USA TODAY. How cool. The performance was so fun because it was out in the woods at a park- very fitting for the storyline. I did get a picture of my niece Ava, though, while we were visiting the night before. She is growing so fast. She is a year and a half now and quite the ham. She loves to dance! She also had a blast playing with her cousins, Raymond and Colin.

All Smiles

A few more photos

Daddy reads to me

Raymond is baptized in Christ!

Pretty altar...
Not so pretty baptismal font....
Posed with the grandparents except for Grandaddy Bill- he didn't make it until the next week,
Great Grandparents Ken & Kathy
Raymond in his baptismal gown which has been worn by many Buyles. It was a beautiful ceremony- unfortunately we missed most of that due to Raymond's hunger cries!

Car Seat Blues

Raymond hates being in his car seat- which, unfortunately, he has had to do a lot since his birth since we have had to make many road trips this summer! But he looks SO cute in it! At this point, he didn't hate it quite so much, but it didn't take long.

A visit from Ava

This is Raymond's cousin, Ava. (The daughter of Julie's brother, Carl and his wife April) Carl, April, Cody, & Ava came to visit when Raymond was just a week old. Ava was 14 months old in this picture and as most babies do- she LOVES other babies.

Our new home

Here is a picture of our new house that we bought in November. Hopefully soon I can get some before and after interior shots posted, too.

Raymond chats with mom and dad

I don't remember when this video was taken- but it is still cute!

4th of July

This is Raymond sporting his Red, White, & Blue on the 4th of July. He is hanging out with his Grandma Karen as his dad and Grandpa Ray are working on remodeling the basement.

Raymond's progress

So an update on Raymond's progress: He has been rolling over for about 3 weeks now both ways. He loves to grab things (especially my hair) and boy does he have a serious grip! Kenny wonders if he will be left handed. I haven't paid any attention to that. Who knows? There have been a couple times that I was holding him while preparing something for dinner and he has grabbed something out of the freezer door- that kid cracks me up! He DESPISES his car seat which makes even short trips to the grocery store a scream fest. I think it is because he can't move around - it traps him in one position. He always tries to sit forward while he is in it. He makes lots of noises but most are not pleasant ones :) He loves to gaze at the pictures of his cousins on the refridgerator and at himself in the mirror. On a happy day we sometimes can catch a giggle out of him- but he has a goofy sense of humor- often he laughs when I sneeze or cough. He is teething still but no teeth have broken through the surface. And, of course, he is still keeping me on task with the laundry as he spits up ALL the time because of his acid reflux! The doctor says he will grow out of it by 7 months or so. Geez- that seems like forever sometimes.

My first job interview

These adorable onesies were made by my good friend Anna. Doesn't he look cute..errr... professional?

Catching up

I am trying to get some pictures and videos on here from a while back so we can get caught up!! But it is hard when Raymond is so fussy- so I'll probably never get to where we are "caught up"

Growing Boy

These pictures were taken only four days apart. Funny how much bigger he looks in the one.

Namesake

This is Raymond with Grandpa Ray on our visit to Kansas on the way to Andy's wedding. He is 2 1/2 weeks old in this picture.
