Tee Ball

You'll Never Be One Again

We had an open house birthday party for Raymond and Kenny on Saturday. We all had a great time and were very exhausted by the end!
Here is a picture of the yummy food!
And the Birthday boys!
Kenny has become a real fan of Sesame Street lately...

I tied a Thomas the Train balloon to the handrail and Raymond would not come back inside until I brought it in!

Our Garden

We are determined that our garden will do better this year! Praying!! Now, just don't zoom in too close to see the yellowed leaves on our tomato plants. Urgh. Maybe if it would stop raining, freezing, and the sun would come out, we would have better luck. I really want to grow what we eat often.

Speaking of eating, I have been on a grain free, sugar free, starch free diet for some time now and, although in ways it has been super stressful to think of things to eat, sometimes the forced creativity yields super yummy results. Tonight's dinner was AMAZINGLY delicious. I can't take credit for the recipe this time around, but we definitely enjoyed the results. Here is the recipe.http://divinehealthfromtheinsideout.com/2011/05/oven-baked-drumsticks-gluten-free/ And here is the picture:

Zoo trip

Raymond and I took advantage of this non-rainy day and went to the zoo. It was nice to get some exercise, fresh air, and sun, even though it was still a bit chilly. And of course, Raymond enjoyed the zoo animals. We got some awesome views of many of the animals today, too!

Museum of Transportation

We went with some friends to the Museum of Transportation. What a fun place for a 2 yr old (almost) boy! Can't wait to go back again! We got to ride a tram and a mini train; play in the "Creation Station" room which is full of trains, trucks, farm toys, crafts, etc; climb onto old locomotives and Raymond loved running through the tanker car and hear it echo. WHAT FUN!

Raymond's first birthday card

Here is Raymond's first birthday card that arrived in the mail. He was pretty excited about the stickers inside. Once again, sorry for the quality of the video and the fact that my voice overpowers Raymond's.

Learning my Prayers

Raymond could put many Catholics to shame with his sign of the cross and all the prayers he knows. He knows the Hail Mary, Angel of God, the Lord's Prayer, the mealtime prayer, the prayer for the holy souls in purgatory, and Now I lay me down to sleep. Here is him praying his mealtime prayer. He gets a little excited and bounces in his seat. It is pretty cute. He often stops midprayer to say, "Mama say it, Dada say it" because he wants us to join along. Usually, when we come in, though, he stops. We are working on teaching him to pray along with us. Sorry about the blurry video!
