What is going on in the Buyle household...

This is what Raymond's hair looked like after his bath this morning. It just did this on its own! Ignore the screaming face, he was in trouble for climbing onto the kitchen table AGAIN.
I found him in the bathtub with all his clothes on! Silly boy.
And the chili incident...
The lid shattered on me! What a waste of a LOT of chili!
And last but certainly not least:
Kenny and I made a homemade blueberry pie! We used the recipe from America's test kitchen. We also used fresh organic blueberries (in the middle of winter!) that we got for $1 a package due to the grocery store's mistake of ordering too many!! Homemade crust and all, except we omitted the shortening b/c that stuff is horrible for you!

Christmas 2010

Kenny's brother, Eric, proposed to his girlfriend, Candace, on Christmas Eve. Here is a picture of the ring as well as the happy couple on Christmas morning! He placed the ring on the top branch of the Christmas tree and had her fill the important role of placing the angel on top of the tree. She climbed up the ladder, and placed it, but was told it was too crooked and that she needed to take it off and straighten the branch a bit. She thought that was crazy, until she realized that there was a big sparkle in the way! It was pretty exciting to witness. Prayers for a great engagement, you two!

Our Friend's Wedding

We went to a wedding this weekend in the middle of nowhere, Missouri. I couldn't help but think of you, Don & Ashia, as we drove by signs for "Missouri Hick BBQ" and the"Vacuum Museum." Thought you would appreciate it. Really, this is what gives the Midwest a bad name. The wedding itself was BEAUTIFUL. The colors were pink and purple -a combo I'd never seen before. The bridesmaids wore purple dresses with hot pink heels and carried pink gerbera daisies. So fitting for the bride (Our friend Amanda from BC). One of my favorite things about the reception was that they set up a Table Trivia Game. You had to match names of Places that were significant in the couple's life to the reason. The winning table was served dinner first. So clever and fun!

Kenny being goofy, of course. Raymond fell asleep so we got an hour or so of time together with friends. Such a great time! We are so happy for our friends, Amanda and Dan! Congrats!

Found Raymond in the toy basket!

Our new refrigerator!!

So much more room!!!!!!!!!!! We love it! Unfortunately, still totally lacking in the freezer dept.

Family Fun Day

This Sunday, Kenny, Raymond and I went to Eckert's Farm along with my friend Jessie and her kids. There was so much to do there and we had a great time! We went on a tractor-trailer ride to pick apples and pumpkins. We also went through a corn maze. There was a petting zoo, pony and camel rides, tricycle races, a huge parakeet cage where you could feed them, kettle corn, apple cider, hot chocolate, pig races, shows (Are you smarter than a Farmer?), a pumpkin canon, and some mechanical rides like the spinning apples and swings (I got to ride the swings with Jessie's daughter- I haven't done that since I was like 10 years old. It was super fun!) They also had a store with lots of yummy preserves, pumpkin and apple butters, etc. What a fun family outing!

This is the pumpkin Raymond picked out- not exactly the prettiest!

Here is Raymond driving the play tractor.

Carly and me!
The view of the city from the farm. I think Kenny enjoyed the drive there even better- it was beautiful. So was the sunset!
The whole gang!

Cousin Fun

Kenny' little sister and his brother's (Brad) wife, Sam, came to visit this past weekend, along with Sam & Brad's two kids, Liam and Kade. We had such a fun time exploring all the things to do in St. Louis. We went to Grant's Farm, The Magic House Children's Museum, the Botanical Gardens and their Children's Garden (like a big outdoor playground, splashpad, etc), the City Museum~ (like a huge playground for adults & big kids)(http://www.citymuseum.org/home.asp), and the zoo.
