New Landscaping

This is a picture of part of our veggie garden in the backyard. You can see our peas and greenbeans, tomatoes, strawberries and blueberries. Not pictured are the lettuce mix, chard, carrots, onions, peppers, black beans, and squash/zucchini.

My mom and aunt came to help us with some landscaping in the front yard. I did not care for the spruces and how they were unevenly spaced in our planters. So we dug them up and donated them to Aunt Ann's house in exchange for some other plants. It will take some time to mature to catch up with the other stuff, but I think it will be well worth it. I love the foxgloves (on the right side next to the steps); they are so unique. Hopefully someday we can find some red bricks to replace the gray ones, but we couldn't find any that would work!

They also brought us those patio chairs because mom doesn't have room for them at her apartment. I love how they look on our porch!

This last picture is a before shot of the spruces we dug up. Are we crazy? Probably. But I think in the long run, we'll prefer the new layout.

Kenny & Raymond's Birthday Party!

We went to the park for Kenny & Raymond's birthday celebration on Saturday. Unfortunately it was too cold for Raymond to play in the wading pool but we had fun anyways. We all had a great time eating yummy BBQ, playing frisbee, baseball, washers, and Bocce Ball. We also visited the farmer's market and got some of the best pretzels ever! Raymond enjoyed his first taste of cake of course.
